Moscow State University was the first in the ranking of the best universities in Eastern Europe and Central Asia

Four Russian universities were in the top ten according to the international rating QS EECA (Emerging Europe & amp; Central Asia), which includes the countries of Emerging Europe and Central Asia. In the first place is the Moscow State University. MV Lomonosov Moscow State University, and the second - Novosibirsk State University. In addition, the top ten were St. Petersburg State University and MIPT, who finished fifth and tenth places respectively. This was reported in the press release of the rating company QS, received by “Lentu.ru.”

The third, fourth, sixth, seventh, eighth and ninth places were taken by Charles University in Prague, the Estonian University of Tartu, University of Warsaw, Poland Jagiellonian University, Czech Technical University in Prague and Masaryk University.

Compared with a rating of 2014, among the top ten Russian universities appeared MIPT, who first came to her, rising eight places up. NSU remained in second place, but no longer divides it from the Charles University in Prague, and St. Petersburg State University climbed two places. Total in the top 150 included 48 Russian universities, 23 of whom entered the top hundred. Last year, the final ranking includes 100 high schools, and this - 150.

Of the 20 countries that participated in the rankings, Russia ranks first with 23 universities in the top hundred. It is followed by Turkey with 12 universities and Poland with ten universities.

The rankings take into account the QS experts that the universities of different countries development priorities may be different from the Western European or American. Therefore, the rating QS EECA has developed its own methodology, which, in addition to the old, is based on three new indicators: the effectiveness of online resources Webometrics, publication activity ratio to the number of faculty and the proportion of employees with an academic degree.
