Under RASEINIAI feat. As six soldiers and one tank kept the whole tank group

KV tank, or as it is called by the Germans “Gespenst” (ghost) - a real metal fortress, but even such a rugged boulder would be unable to perform the feat without a RASEINIAI cold calculation and hatred for the invaders. About seven inches of steel and one crew, who became the personification of the German Russian character and indomitable will - in the article “RG”.

It so happened that about a unique battle of RASEINIAI we know thanks to the direct participants in those events, however, on the opposite side. In 1945, high-ranking German officers were formally a prisoner of the United States. In fact, they were used as military advisers to the future of a possible war with the Soviet Union. Something that the Americans knew of something guess, but one of the reports allegedly Colonel General Franz Halder, shocked the US military.

June 23, 1941 near the Lithuanian town RASEINIAI Soviet tanks counterattacked. According to estimates of the Red Army command, they had to face not more than twenty tanks of “Zeckendorf”, the number of artillery and infantry not taken into account at all. From the 2nd Armored Division was taken battalion of heavy tanks KV, who had never met the Germans at the front. The task was simple - to attack the enemy in the flank, and thus force him to retreat to the river Dubysa. But in reality it turned out tank battle where against 20 Soviet tanks were about a hundred German.

In the early stages of the war Germany had no tanks, capable of punching 70-mm armor HF. This can be done only by anti-tank guns, or certain types of artillery. Therefore, in the first minutes of battle the surprise German soldiers knew no bounds. Shells of tank Pz-35 is not allowed on the armor “of the Stalinist monster” even dents, but the response shots HF crushing everything in its path. It took only a few moments, and the whole field was strewn with crushed German tanks, and a battalion of HF was already moving through the enemy infantry, artillery was his goal. When she mostly turned into scrap metal, thunder was heard - German anti-aircraft guns began to beat on the tanks point-blank range. Under a hail of projectiles, losing a few cars, the battalion was able to retreat, leaving behind chaos.

The first acquaintance with “Kliment Voroshilov” pleasing to the Nazis did not work - it was destroyed several tens of Pz-35, a battery of artillery caliber 150 mm, dozens of anti-tank guns, trucks and infantry losses in the hundreds. But the second appearance of HF made to respect this car all German commanders.

Further, in the comments.
